Alameda Connects and The Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District (ACBID), as part of its mission to support and connect the Alameda Corridor in Lakewood, CO, provides numerous grants for local members and businesses. Below are grants funded by Alameda Connects and ACBID. Click on the individual grant to find more information about the grant application and eligibility, and then submit a general interest form below.

Plan Your Project & Tell Your Story
- Write a description: Explain what you plan to do, why it is needed, and make sure your written scope matches your contractor's estimate.
- Show your vision: Collect or create pictures or drawings that will help us clearly understand the project.
- Create a budget: List out all expected project costs.
Start Gathering The Required Items
- Vulnerability Analysis: Set up your appointment for a CPTED review.
- Contractor Estimate: Get at least one estimate from a licensed contractor.
- Tax ID: Find or look up your Lakewood Sales and Use Tax number.
- W-9 Form: Fill out a standard W-9 form.
- Bank Connection: Check your inbox and connect your bank by responding to our Intuit email invitation if you haven't already.
- Permits: Begin applying for any required city permits.
Alameda Connects Grants
Alameda Connects sponsors grants aimed at supporting Downtown Lakewood businesses and community members.
“Celebrating Alameda” Grant
The Alameda Connects “Celebrating Alameda” Community Grants program offers competitive small grants of $500 each to public schools, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses within the Alameda Corridor area of central Lakewood for benefitting the public good, strengthening community, improving quality of life, promoting sustainable economic development, nurturing vibrant neighborhoods and enhancing the business, cultural, and social climate.
All grants must align with the mission of Alameda Connects: to foster opportunity and prosperity by cultivating connections through celebrating our vibrant Lakewood community.
Eligibility:
- Ideally located in or near the Alameda Corridor, in our Impact Ecosystem or Downtown Lakewood
- For a specific project or program and not routine operational expenses
- Must be members of Alameda Connects 501c6
- Public Schools, Nonprofits, or Small businesses

Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District Grants
ACBID sponsors several grants each year aimed at supporting Alameda Ave. area businesses.
"Greening Alameda" Grant
The Greening Alameda grants fund sustainability projects that serve as a catalyst for investment in financial, social, and environmental sustainability along the corridor.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants
Application Open on a Rolling Basis

"Beautifying Alameda" Grant
The Beautifying Alameda grants fund exterior improvements to existing commercial buildings and properties in the West Alameda area and produce positive, visible changes impacting the building location.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants
Application Open on a Rolling Basis

"Securing Alameda" Grant
The Securing Alameda grant funds projects that serve as a catalyst for safety and security investment along the corridor and to offset the costs of Lakewood Police CPTED recommendations.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants
