Alameda Connects sponsors grants aimed at supporting Downtown Lakewood businesses and community members.

“Celebrating Alameda” Grant
The Alameda Connects “Celebrating Alameda” Community Grants program offers competitive small grants of $500 each to public schools, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses within the Alameda Corridor area of central Lakewood.
Eligibility:
- Ideally located in or near the Alameda Corridor or Downtown Lakewood
- Members of Alameda Connects (Join Today!)
- Public Schools, Nonprofits, or Small businesses
Application Open Dates:
- Mid March 2026
“Small But Mighty” Business Grant
The program is designed to fund small business projects in alignment with Alameda Connects’ value pillars, and positively impact the Alameda-area community.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor
- Small businesses who want to build community

Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District Grants
ACBID sponsors several grants each year aimed at supporting Alameda Ave. area businesses.
"Greening Alameda" Grant
The Greening Alameda grants fund sustainability projects that serve as a catalyst for investment in financial, social, and environmental sustainability along the corridor.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor boundary
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants

"Beautifying Alameda" Grant
The Beautifying Alameda grants fund exterior improvements to existing commercial buildings and properties in the West Alameda area and produce positive, visible changes impacting the building location.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor boundary
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants

"Securing Alameda" Grant
The Securing Alameda grants funds projects that serve as a catalyst for safety and security investment along the corridor and to offset the costs of Lakewood Police CPTED recommendations.
Eligibility:
- Located within the Alameda Corridor boundary
- Commercial and nonprofit property owners and tenants
